This weekend had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful family in New Haven. They came to via a referral from another photographer (in the busy season we all work together, which I love!) and I’m so happy they found their way to me!

We chose Edgerton Park in New Haven for the session, and I think we both had our doubts that we would complete it as the rain clouds really looked threatening! Luckily we were able to finish the session and what a beautiful session it was!

The kids were amazing! They both laughed at my horrible jokes and posed for me tremendously!

There’s a few reasons why kid tosses are so popular with photographers. One is that the kids LOVE them! The start of a bad mood can almost always be quelled by a fun toss! Another is that they are so sweet to capture. These kids won’t be small enough to toss very much longer, and what a great moment to capture for the future! Lastly I think it’s a wonderful thing to play with your kids and have proof that you did it!

And to end on a funny note! Baby brother was supposed to kiss big sister – and as baby brothers often do, he had other plans!
