Meet Reina, Our New Project Underdog Pup!

This is Reina, our new Project Underdog Recipient! Since Butch graduated our program in the fall, we have been on the lookout for a new dog to help. I happened to see a Facebook post about Reina, a dog found as a stray, who was being boarded at Guilford Veterinary Hospital. Yesterday Jade of Polite Paws, and I went to go meet this sweet little girl! She is gorgeous, with beautiful caramel eyes, a great head and a beautiful slick black coat. She has a lot of personality packed into a compact frame! She sits nicely for treats and makes the CUTEST little snorkeling sound when she’s smelling around for goodies that may have been dropped on the ground. She is good with other dogs, and I’m told very gentle around children.

She is estimated to be around 2 years old, fully vetted thanks to GVH, and ready for a new home. She was found in a rough neighborhood, and was possibly just used for breeding. Jade will be spending some time with her this week and we will know more then, but our first impression of her is that she aims to please, is food motivated and smart so training will be a cinch! If you are looking for a new dog to call your own, this would be a nice one!  Be warned, you will fall in love with this girl!  What a great personality 🙂

Project Underdog was founded by a group of small business owners along the Connecticut Shoreline.  Polite Paws, LLC and Kathryn Schauer Photography have recruited the help of local pet businesses to help hard to adopt dogs become ADOPTED dogs.  This is a volunteer based program and we offer professional dog training and professional photography to dogs who need a little extra help finding their forever homes.
