When the “R” family contacted me in the early spring about a Family Session, we quickly decided on doing their family shoot at Lyman Orchards at the height of the blooming fruit trees. I was excited to be shooting there, I drove down to the orchards a couple of times, checking the blooms, watching the weather, and planning out the route in the orchards to get the perfect light for each shot. It was so fun to finally meet them the day of their shoot. We started off in a nearby park, then headed up the hill to the orchards, stopping off at a few key locations for some solo images of each of the dogs, Charlie, and Bosco, two Labs4Rescue dogs. If you would like a session in the orchards, please contact me well in advance so I can coordinate with the growers on spraying, and harvesting. I have special permission from Bishop’s Orchards here in Guilford to shoot on their property, and wow what gorgeous property they have! Orchard Sessions are absolutely stunning in the spring and fall, but summer provides a lush green backdrop, and snow in the winter can be gorgeous as well if you don’t mind getting a little chilly!
