I LOVE to see other photographers’ before and after shots. I think it’s so much fun to see what they started with, and then see how they chose to edit it. I enjoy them so much, I thought I should start posting a few of mine.
I chose this image because I really had to do what I consider to be a lot of work on this one. First, I didn’t set my white balance, so I had to warm the entire image up. The light on the evening that I took this was beautiful and golden, and my original photo didn’t capture that. Secondly I blew out the sky, so I had to try to recover a little bit of that without doing a full replacement. And what took the most time was the leash removal. I shoot a lot of dogs, so leash removal is something I keep working on. Lastly I just adjusted curves and levels to bring out the color.
