Bandit, a Family Portrait always includes the Dog

We were recently asked to go and take a family portrait of a very special dog.  The Branford Animal Shelter was the one doing the asking, and the special dog is named Bandit.  Bandit was at the animal shelter for months, despite having a great personality and good manners, he was passed over time and again.  Can you believe people would come in to look at him and say he wasn’t pretty enough!?  I love his face, his oh-so-completely-handsome face! Liz walked into the shelter and Bandit was behind the counter with the animal control officers. Liz didn’t need to go any further, she had found her dog!

The complete family portrait. I loved this one, everyone looks relaxed, and so happy just to be together. The other dog in this portrait is named Jax, and he is also a former shelter dog. He came from a shelter in Trumbull and has been with Liz for about two years. Despite the stereotype of the breed, these two male pit bulls live together as brothers without any problem.

I love Bandit’s expression here, and his little perked up ears! He was such a pleasure to photograph!

Jax couldn’t be bothered to pose anymore, and preferred a nice roll in the grass instead. I don’t blame him 🙂
