Now we know…this black Labrador, with webbed feet, cannot swim! Tucker arrived from Alabama via Labs4Rescue in March and I’ve wondered if he could swim. I’ve had him at the beach a few times but I didn’t want a wet dog in my car, so I never encouraged him to actually go in the water. Tonight he ventured out onto some rocks, and suddenly the rocks dropped off and he didn’t realize it! Plunk down into the water! There was a lot of splashing and he made it back in but that was not what he intended! To be honest, it was pretty funny to watch! I was laughing so hard I didn’t even take a photo of it! Before you think I am cruel and risked his safety, I had him on a long line and he was never in danger 🙂

So now the mystery is solved, this dog can’t swim! I bet we can fix that, though 🙂
