Meet Sweet Pea, a 4 1/2 year old darling of a Pit Bull Terrier whose story is a sad one, but we’re all hoping for a happy ending. Sweet Pea was rescued by a good Samaritan who found her wandering the streets with a heavy chain around her neck during a snow storm back in 2008. From her emaciated condition and the fact that she was full of milk, it was obvious that Sweet Pea had recently given birth. While she likely never had the experience of living in a home or being part of a loving family, Sweet Pea is a sweet, loving, affectionate girl who adores people. Sweet Pea has the heart and energy of a puppy, and she seeks someone who has the time and patience to help her learn how to behave when she’s inside the home. With structure, consistency, training, and lots of love, we know that Sweet Pea will make a wonderful companion. She needs a home where she will be an only pet. Sweet Pea loves belly rubs, long walks, and playing outside. Free training assistance will be provided to the lucky person who adopts our dear Sweet Pea.
