I am so honored to receive a Mark of Excellence in the I Shot It Photo Competition. The images that received this distinction are the close up of Marcy from last fall, and Tucker in the fog from this winter:

I have entered this competition before, Haunter on the Rocks also received a Mark of Excellence. I first learned about this competition when I saw a post from scruffy dog photography. The talent behind the lens there is Illona Haus and she just so happens to be the judge for the I Shot It Competition. She is one of the best dog photographers in the business, so when she mentioned it, I had to check it out! To receive a distinction from her makes the honor that much more meaningful.

I actually entered these photos because I was curious to see how they would do against such fantastic talent. I plan to enter the Professional Photographers of America competition this year, so this competition was a bit of a trial run. I’m pleased to know that others liked them as well.
