I had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful Miss Greta today at the Clinton Petco. Greta is available for adoption through Labs4rescue and I must say I love her! If my husband would allow it, I would bring her home in a second! She was a real trooper at the Petco for so long today, and even mustered up a great smile and a head tilt for me. What a beautiful girl, any home would be lucky to have her.

Meet Greta! Greta is a wonderful, approximately 9 year old, female, black lab weighing approximately 60 lbs. Although Greta is a senior Labbie, don’t let that grey face fool you as she still has some energy and enjoys going for her leisurely walks. Greta is looking for a new home as her owner passed away and she no longer has someone to care for her. She is a low energy girl who is very mellow and easy going. Greta loves her people and particularly likes kids. She gets on well with medium/large dogs and is currently being fostered with other male and female Labs.  However, she gets a little too excited around dogs that are 15l bs and smaller and tries to play with them like they were bigger so would be better with a larger canine companion or as an only dog. Greta is smart and knows some basic commands. She comes when called, walks well on leash and takes treats gently.  Greta rides very well in the car, she loads up easily and enjoys going for a drive. She is housebroken and can be trusted to not chew anything when left alone in the house. Greta would do really well in a home where someone is home most of the day as she loves to be with her people and particularly enjoys being petted and loved on. She is the perfect dog for someone looking for a low maintenance companion- she will give back so much more.
