Branford Animal Shelter

I had the pleasure of visiting the Branford Animal Shelter earlier this week and I got to meet so many awesome animals!

First up is Miss Delta! I visited Delta before and I must say there is quite a difference in her! She came from another facility and was on the thin side, and very reserved. I’m told she’s feeling better and showing her true, and sweet, personality more and more.

Nore! I also met Nore before, once at the shelter when he first arrived, and once when he greeted people at the PetValu in Guilford. What a transformation on this guy! When I first met him, he was a little wild, a lot thin, and had a bit of a skin problem. Just look at him now! His coat looks amazing thanks to a new diet that agrees with him. He has a lot of energy for sure, but he plopped his behind down for a treat in no time! He’s a handsome handful, but a trainable one!

Sweet Dani, I loved her! She was very calm and sweet, and I fell in love with those eyes! You can see intelligence in them, as well as her good nature.

Cash is a big ole handsome guy! He’s calm andd quiet, and let us dress him up without a peep. He’s got great soulful eyes and an easy going personality. He will make a great companion to some lucky family.

And just a few of the pretty kitties I visited in the cat room:

If you’re looking for a new furry member for your family, please visit the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter! These are just a few of the animals there for adoption!  To see photos from my last visit, click here.

My husband looked over my shoulder and asked, “What’s up with all the scarves?” Good question, and I get that a lot. It seems that photos of animals who are wearing something elaborate, or humorous, get more attention – more views, shares, and comments – than those without. It also lets you know a bit more about the dog and their personality. If they didn’t want to wear the scarf, or the hat, they could easily remove it with one swipe of their paw! The fact that they let a stranger dress them up for a photo speaks volumes about their sweet natures!
